Nnedi Okoroafor, first Nigerian to win Hugo Awards


The Hugo Awards are a set of awards given annually for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements of the previous year. Nnedi Okoroafor, with her fiction novella BINTI, has won the award in the Novella category on September 4, 2016.


Other notable recipients of the Hugo awards are Connie Willis, Allen Steele, and J.K. Rowling.
