First Nigerian to score in Manchester Derby – Kelechi makes history

Currently the highest paid Nigerian footballer, Kelechi has once again gone into Nigeria’s history books by scoring in the El Classico of English football – the Manchester Derby.

The ban on team mate Sergio Aguero gave him th opportunity to lead the Manchester City attack in the derby on September 10, 2016, and he delivered a goal for his side.

The striker (19 yo.) earns £85,000 per week, surpassed only by Yakubu Aiyegbeni (2012/2013 season, approx. $104,000). This means he’s also the youngest ever player to score in a derby match.
