21h28m14s – Matthew Ahn sets Subway Transit record

on

The Subway transit challenge (also called Rapid Transit Challenge or Ultimate Ride) is a contest in which every single station on the New York subway is visited in the quickest time possible. Sounds like a walk in the park, but considering that there are specific rules and regulations to this challenge should you want to take it seriously and attempt a world record; the participant must log the time the subway doors open and close at each station, provide a time stamped photograph or video proving they stopped at every station and finally they must have a documented witness at every station. And there are 469 in total and a distance of about seven and a half miles!

Matthew Ahn has just completeed this record breaking feat in 21 hours, 28 minutes and 14 seconds.
